Advent Calendars

This PA Day class has something for beginners and for those with sewing experience: 

This style advent calendar can be sewn by beginners. It gives a lot of opportunity for creativity: choosing a background fabric, adding matching pockets, edging ribbon and embellishments.

Students with some sewing experience can choose to sew a quilted advent calendar. They will learn to work with stabilizer, layering a quilt with batting and backing fabric, as well as adding a border.

The pockets of the Advent calendar can be filled with treats (not included) and reused year after year. These calendars are as much fun to sew as to enjoy for a delightful countdown to Christmas!
